Game Recap

In the match up between the two remaining schools in the Dioceses of Lansing the Powers Catholic Chargers prevailed over the Lansing Catholic Cougars. To show unity and to display what Catholic schools are all about the two teams joined together in the center of the field to pray before the start of the game. With the 1-0 victory, the Chargers punched their ticket to the state finals on Saturday. Mason Smith’s goal from an initial effort by Bryan Lendzion held up as the deciding goal of the game. The Chargers played impeccable team defense over the 80 minute game to keep the Cougars off of the board. The championship game will be Saturday at Rochester Hills Stoney Creek High School with a noon kick off. Please visit MHSAA.com for more details. It is supposed to be a beautiful fall day so we will see you there. Go Chargers!
