Game Recap

The Lady Chargers came up with a huge win at home this evening beating visiting Midland/Dow to gain sole possession of first place in the Saginaw Valley League and a move to 4-1 record! The team knew they were in for a tough game but came prepared and fought as a team throughout the game. On the offensive side of field, the Chargers got some much needed support from 4 of the teams Sophomores who accounted for 8 of the 11 goals for the game. Sophomore wonder twins, Allison and Abby Polakowski lead the team with 3 goals apiece while Jennie DeNeen and Delaynie Gillispie chipped in a goal apiece. Natalie Ragnone added 2 goals and Tessa Peabody netted 1 to round out the scoring.

Defensively, the Chargers were led by Olivia VanTol (5 ground balls, 2 int), Sarah Goergen (5 ground balls) and Allison Polakowski (5 Ground Balls).

The team travels to Rockford this Saturday for a pair of tough games versus Mattawan and Grand Rapids Christian.
