Game Recap

Powers rallied for a 4-3 win vs. Fenton to win it’s opener in the Fenton Wood Bat Tourney. Zack Mazza, Sam Petraca, and Jacob Badal provided pitching to keep the Tigers in check as the Chargers pushed across two runs in the top of the 7th to erase a 3-2 deficit. Cam Conover had two hits and an RBI; Spencer Lash added an RBI double.
In the title match up with Linden, Powers trailed 2-0 until a 3-run Charger uprising in the bottom of the 6th. Badal delivered a two-out, two RBI single for 3-2 lead Powers would not relinquish. Starting pitcher Nick Riley was supported by relief help from Petraca and Badal, just like the game one effort. Matt Wiskur smacked two hits and Lash added an RBI single.
The Powers varsity returns to conference action Monday at Midland Dow.
