Powers Catholic girls soccer won their semi-final district game on Wednesday, May 31 against Frankenmuth, 7-0. In the first half, Powers scored 4 goals by four different players. Domi Amato scored the first goal with an assist by Jaclyn Thompson and Kennedy Myers found the back of the net in an unassisted goal as did Rachel Phillpotts with the third goal. First half scoring was completed on a goal by Jaclyn Thompson with an assist by Kennedy Myers. In the second half, Emily Pechette assisted on a goal by Sophia Dubiel followed by a Sophie Bubnar goal on an assist by Mallery Macksood. Scoring was wrapped up on a goal by Savannah Thomas assisted by Elise Biederman. Powers will play in the District finals at Birch Run against Montrose on Saturday, June 3 at 11:00.
