Varsity Football Falls in Final Seconds at Bay City Central

Bay City Central hit a perfectly executed pass play to take a 35–28 lead in the final nine seconds of Friday’s SVL contest. The 75-yard completion broke a 28-all tie and the hearts of many loyal Charger fan who made the trek north.

The score was 21-21 at the half and Powers eventually took 28-21 lead in the third quarter before the Wolves evened the score in the fourth, setting up the dramatic finish.

Zack Talovich threw for 135 yard and two TD’s (Kelson Connors and Joe Bade). Joe Zorn led the balanced 213-yard team rushing attack with 68 yards. Henry Warner led in receiving with 88 yards. Zorn and Grant Morrison helped the defense with seven tackles each. Andrew Simon delivered on all four extra point kicks.

The 2 and 1 Chargers return to action at home on Friday night against Carman-Ainsworth.
