Coed Varsity Track · Girls Track Team Win Regionals! Boys Continue to Improve!

The entire track program had fantastic day at Williamston last Saturday. The girls won the meet for the first time since 1997 (109.75  points).  The boys team finished 7th place (39.5 points).

Some highlights from the meet:

Nikki Sargent won the shot put and discus. Julia Vanitvelt won the 1600m and the 3200m.  The girls 4×800 relay team won and set a new school record without our top 800 runner, Sarah DeDolph, who was out to injury. Tyra Hunter won the 100m hurdles and Jambernice Lang took 6th.  Camryn Evans won the 400. Monica LeDuc finished 6th in the high jump, Kit Goyette tied for 8th. Courtney Reddy finished 6th in pole vault, Delaney Goggins finished 7th. In the 800, Powers scored an incredible 19 points! 1st place – Lyndsey Braman, 3rd place – Julia Vanitvelt, 7th Olivia Bennett, 8th Libbie Gleason.

Also picking up 8th place finishes is the 4×100 relay team of Lexy Granata, Kit Goyette, Jambernice Lang and Tyra Hunter.  In the 4×200 relay, Monica LeDuc, Kit Goyette, Jambernice Lang and Camryn Evans took a solid 6th place.  Topped of by a 3rd in the 4×400 of Olivia Bennett, Libbie Gleason, Lyndsey Braman and Camryn Evans.

Additionally, the 7th place overall finish by the boys was their best in years!

The 4×800 relay team of Ethan Hamilton, Myles Hall, Matt Brown and Will Haran will be heading to the State meet after finishing 2nd with a time of 8:10.18.

The 4×200 relay team of K.J. Medley, Joey Zorn, Noah Sargent and Myles Hall finished 4th place. 4×100 relay team of Henry Warner, K.J. Medley, Joey Zorn and Noah Sargent qualified with a 5th place finish. Will Haran won the 800 in 2:00.36.  Myles Hall ran 8th in the 400.  Chandler Lorf  finished 7th place in the 3200. The 4×400 relay team of Ethan Slagle, Myles Hall, Steven Tuttle and Will Haran placed 7th.  Daurel Tolbert finished 4th in the discus (125′ 4″) and Noah Sargent placed 6th in the shot put (46′ 2.5″).
