Meet Recap

Powers senior co-captain Sarah Kirtek won the 100 Butterfly (1:02.46) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:15.82), junior Allie Dasky won the 100 Freestyle (57.90), junior Sam Snyder won the diving event (149.25), and freshman Hannah Murawski won the 100 Backstroke (1:09.26), but in a double-dual meet, the Chargers ultimately lost to Dow 123-57, and Alma 99-77.

The 400 Freestyle Relay team of Dasky, senior co-captain Kristin Ammerman, senior Sydney Lawrence, and Kirtek also took home a victory with a season-best time of 3:58.49. Many Powers swimmers swam “off” events during their trip to Midland Tuesday night.

Next up for the Chargers will be a “friendly” at Grand Blanc next Tuesday. The Chargers and the Bobcats will be honoring their respective seniors during the proceedings.
