Game Recap

The Powers Catholic Men’s Varsity Lacrosse team traveled to Birmingham Brother Rice ( Orange ) Monday evening to take on one of the top ranked lacrosse teams in the state of Michigan. Brother Rice, as expected, came out victorious 20 – 7. ” This was a opportunity to show our men what “Lacrosse Culture” looks like.” Said Powers Head Coach Matt Gregson. ” “As a team we need to do the little things correctly, we need to execute the simple things to hold our possessions & get better in transistion. I think our men need to play with heart all 48 minutes. I understand they have a great program but we could have played better tonight. My hope is this prepares us for our last 2 regular season contests this week.” Added Gregson.
Offensively the Chargers were led by Zack Talovich with 3 goals, Josh Warda had a pair of goals and Grant Morrison & Fidel Carino added one each. Miles Cramer had 5 Ground Balls in the offensive end and Warda had 3 GB’s.
Kelson Connors Forced 4 Turnovers and had 4 defensive Ground Balls. Hunter Skarzynski and Fidel Carino each caused a pair of turnovers.
The Chargers will regroup to prepare for U of D Jesuit HS Wednesday ( Senior Night )evening at Atwood Stadium.
