Game Recap

After losing by one point on Thursday night, The Lady Chargers had to bounce back against a talented visiting Brighton Bulldogs team Friday night at Atwood Stadium. The team answered the challenge and came focused and played aggressive on each end of the field holding the lead until the closing minutes losing 13-14 on a Brighton goal with 3 seconds remaining.

The Chargers jumped on the Bulldogs right out of the gate with JR Attack Natalie Ragnone netting 3 goals in just the first few minutes of the game. From there, the Chargers continued to extend the lead into the second half until the Brighton began to mount their comeback. Junior Goalie Anastasia Rousseau played a big role in keeping the Bulldogs at bay as she weathered 28 shots and came away with 14 saves (season high).

Scoring Points (goals+assists) for the game were Natalie Ragnone with 5 (5 Goals,4 GB), Megan Pyrett with 4 (2 Goals, 2 Assists, 4 GB, 1 DC), Grace Andreski with 3 ( 3 Goals, 2 GB, 2 Int, 3 DC), Tessa Peabody with 2 (1 Goal, 1 A, 2 GB, 4 DC), Abby Polakowski with 2 (1 Goal, 1 A, 2 GB, 1 Int, 1 DC), Maddie Mathenia with 1 (1 Goal, 3 GB, 1 Int), Sophia VanTol with 1 (1 Assist, 2 GB, 1 DC) and Allison Polakowski with 1 (1 assist, 4 GB, 2 DC).
