Game Recap

Unfortunately, the Lady Chargers season came to end last night at Atwood Stadium losing to the Dewitt Panthers by a single goal; 9-10. This was the 5th game this season the Chargers dropped by less than two goals and the second loss to Dewitt this season by a single goal.

The loss brought an end to a great season that saw the team make huge improvements in nearly all statistical categories. On Offense, the Chargers averaged 12.35 goals per game and saw total assists jump from 20 last season to 65 this season, truly highlighting this teams bond. On the Draw, the team jumped their Draw Controls from 101 last year to 177 this season.

Defensive toughness truly embodied this team this year as they limited opponents to only 104 goals (down from 119) and only 208 total shots. Further highlighting their toughness, the team scooped up an incredible 430 ground balls (147% yoy improvement) with nearly every member of the team collecting over 20. Last but not least, the increased intensity also led to 101 interceptions (230% yoy improvement)! A HUGE thank you to our 4 graduating seniors and captains as they certainly helped to leave a mark on the lacrosse program!

The leaders for the game last night were, Grace Andreski (3 Goals, 1 DC), Allison Polakowski (2 Goals, 2 GB), Natalie Ragnone (1 Goal, 5 GB, 2 Int), Megan Pyrett (1 Goal, 4GB), Tessa Peabody (1 Goal, 2 GB, 5 DC), Jennie Deneen (1 Goal, 2 GB) and Abby Polakowski (4 GB, 1 DC).
