The Powers Catholic Varsity Football Team rushed for 359 yards on its way to a 38-12 Homecoming victory over visiting Saginaw Arthur Hill. Senior running back Kaden Nelson lead the ground attack with 183 yards and three TD’s on 12 carries. Henry Warner and Julian Wiggins added rushing touchdowns. The scoring was rounded out by Andrew Simon’s 30-yard field goal and two extra points. Grant Morrison booted his first varsity extra point to join the scoring column.
The defense turned in a solid performance led by Kelson Connors’ seven tackles and Joe Bade’s interception. Ben Abbott recorded a QB sack. Powers goes for win number four this coming Friday at Atwood Stadium against the Flint HS Jaguars.
