Chargers News · Powers Baseball Earns Split at Midland Dow

In a battle of state-ranked squads, Powers Catholic took the nightcap 10-3 to counter Dow’s 8-5 first game win. Powers used a 7-run first on its way to a rout. The 14-hit attack was led by Zack Mazza and Michael Romzek who slammed three hits apiece. J.D. Garman, Sam Assaf, and Mason Luebke each added a pair of hits. Trevor Maiorana limited Dow to one run with 5 strikeouts in 3 and two-thirds innings to get the win.

The Chargers return to SVL action on Wednesday at Grand Blanc.
