Chargers News · Congratulations to our new Varsity Boys Soccer Coach, Paul Stravato


Powers Catholic Athletic Director Mike Watson would like to announce the promotion of Paul Stravato as the Powers Catholic Varsity Boys Soccer Coach.

Mr. Stravato is currently a physical education teacher at Powers and has served the last three years as the head junior varsity boys’ soccer coach. Coach Stravato brings a strong amount of experience to continue the growth of the Powers Catholic boys soccer program and keep them competing at a very high level. Prior to his years at Powers Catholic, Paul taught middle school math and social studies for ten years at Carman-Ainsworth. He received his master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Michigan-Flint and his bachelor’s degree in business economics from Brown University. Collegiately, he competed in varsity ice hockey and baseball at Brown University.

Coach Stravato’s coaching experience includes serving as the head varsity hockey coach for Flushing High School, head freshman boy’s soccer coach at Flushing and head junior varsity soccer coach at Carman-Ainsworth.  He is also the founder and owner of the Grassroots Soccer Club.

Coach Stravato has worked with the Powers Catholic student body and is extremely well respected by students and staff. Please join me in congratulating Paul Stravato in his new role as Powers Catholic Varsity Boys’ Soccer coach.
