Powers Baseball: Back-to-Back Flint Tourney Champs

Powers Catholic defeated Swartz Creek 2-0 to claim the 2018 Flint Invitional Baseball Championship. The Chargers scored two runs in the first on Jake Walters’ RBI double and a Joe Beauchamp sacrifice fly.  From there, both pitchers settled and Powers rode the shutout pitching of senior Nick Riley. Riley tossed a two-hitter with four strikeouts.

Mazza’s Pitching Leads Powers Baseball to Flint Tourney Finals

Zack Mazza’s 9-strikeout 5-hitter led Powers Catholic to a 3-1 win over Linden at Whaley Park in the Greater Flint Baseball Tournament semifinals.
