Ethan Hamilton led the Chargers to a first place finish at the 25th annual Genesee Invitational. Hamilton was the overall champion with a winning time of 16:34.46. Varsity Football Takes Down Maroon Giants in Kalamazoo

The Chargers responded to Kalamazoo Central’s TD return on the game’s opening kickoff by scoring 14 unaswered points and then thwarted the Maroon Giants two-point conversion attempt with 1:26 left in 4th quarter to post a hard-fought 14-12 road victory. Quarterback Joe Beauchamp led the Chargers to a 26-14 win over visiting Saginaw by passing for 3 touchdowns and 294 yards, connecting on 17 of 19 throws. Beauchamp also scored on a 2-yard run. Luke Phillpotts hauled in 2 TD receptions and Zack Mazza had another. Joey Zorn led the receiving corps with 7 catches.
