Chargers Gallop Past Arthur Hill 38-12

The Powers Catholic Varsity Football Team rushed for 359 yards on its way to a 38-12 Homecoming victory over visiting Saginaw Arthur Hill. Powers Catholic jumped to a 7-0 first possession lead at Midland Dow as Kelson Connors scored on a 3-yard run, capping a 13-play 74-yard drive. It didn’t last as Dow pulled away for a 42-14 win. Powers’ second touchdown came on an 8-yard TD pass from Zack Talovich to Henry Warner, finishing a 68-yard drive.

Varsity Football Falls in Final Seconds at Bay City Central

Bay City Central hit a perfectly executed pass play to take a 35–28 lead in the final nine seconds of Friday’s SVL contest. The 75-yard completion broke a 28-all tie and the hearts of many loyal Charger fan who made the trek north. The score was 21-21 at the half and Powers eventually took 28-21
